Old Oak Older People’s Christmas dinner, raffle & dance – Friday 18th December 2015

Old Oak tenants aged over 60 years are welcomed to join us for our Christmas dinner, raffle & dance on Friday 18th December 2015 at 3pm at Goldsmith’s Arms, 130 East Acton Lane, London W3 7ER

Transport is available however you do need to book a place as we only have reservations for 50 people. Our coach will pick up tenants from Old Oak Housing office and drop them back at the office. If you need transport from and to your door because of a disability please let us know and we can arrange this for you?

Come along and socialise with other tenants and staff and enjoy a great 3 course meal. As you may know, we had some amazing prizes as part of our raffle last year. We aim to have even better prizes this year. We will also be holding a Christmas dance which you can take part in.

On the menu:


Tomato & Jersey Cream Soup:
Served with half a crusty baguette

Creamy Garlic Mushrooms: Toasted garlic ciabatta topped with button mushrooms and a creamy garlic

Festive Nachos:
A Christmas twist of tortilla chips topped with bacon pieces, pork and black pepper sausage, sage and onion stuffing.


Brie & Cranberry Nut Roast: Savoury nut roast with a brie and cranberry filling, served with tomato and basil sauce, roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables.

Hand Carved Turkey:
Hand carved turkey breast served with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, sage and onion stuffing, pig in blanket, and seasonal vegetables in gravy.

Festive Burger: Flame grilled beef & Pork Sausage Burger topped with bacon, brie & cranberry sauce in a brioche bun.  Served with chips and onion rings.

Cod loin:
Grilled cod loin served with new potatoes, seasonal vegetables and a creamy white wine sauce.

Rump Steak, lamb steaks or rib eye steak: You may only choose one steak. All cooked to your liking and served on sizzling onions with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, sage and onion stuffing, pig in blanket and seasonal vegetables. Rump steak and rib eye steaks are seasoned with pepper and stilton. Lamb steaks are seasoned with rosemary and garlic.


Christmas Pudding:
Traditional Christmas pudding served with brandy sauce

Millionaire’s Profiteroles:
Cream filled profiteroles topped with chocolate toffee flavoured sauce, crumbled shortbread and cream.

Festive Sundae:  Sweet apple & mince pie crumble layered with vanilla flavour ice cream, berry compote, custard and cream

Sherry Trifle Cheesecake:
A biscuit base topped with layers of strawberry jam, sponge, raspberry cheesecake filling, custard and cream mousse and sprinkled with almonds. Served with raspberry coulis and cream.
