The Old Oak Centre delivers a range of local support and advice to the Old Oak Community for all ages in the Hammersmith & Fulham Borough.
Children & Young People
After School and Half Term ClubsOur After School Club runs during term time with sessions on homework help, cooking and gardening, art sessions and more. The Half Term Club offers sports activities, trips out, exploring the local area and drama classes. Previous projects include hosting a summer picnic and creating an Italian pop up restaurant.
Stay and Play SessionsFun activities for parents, carers and children under 5 including trips, half-term activities and celebrations of cultural events. Drop-in sessions run by professionals offer informal advice to parents. The Early Years team helps children prepare for school, offers toy and book libraries as well as children’s development profiles.
FootballOur astro-pitch hosts a number of football sessions throughout the year for children aged 8 upwards. These Include Youth Club football sessions, football with Damien and Saturday football with QPR.
Youth ClubHarrow Club run a youth club for 13 – 21 year olds throughout the week. The club also offer a range of half-term activities.
Table Tennis for over 50sImprove your agility, concentration, co-ordination and upper body strength. These fun sessions are free and you don’t need any past experience to join.
Over 60s Relaxation ClassesExercise classes for residents over the age of 60 to help you feel strong and relaxed, and improve your concentration and co-ordination.
Big Tea EventsQuarterly afternoon tea events treating local residents aged 60+ to a fabulous spread with a fun theme, friendship and great live entertainment.
Family SupportServices for local residents with children under the age of 5. Family Support is a free service that provides support tailored to families’ individual needs.
The Nurturing ProgrammePositive strategies to enhance family relationships using an empathetic approach. The programme is spread over 10 weeks.
Parents ForumHave Your Say is an informal monthly forum for parents, carers and other service users to have a say around how the Centre is run and talk to local organisations about a range of topics.
Training and Employment
Adults ITOur BCS Level 2 (formerly ECDL) computer classes are suitable for people with any level of computing experience. Upon completion, students receive a certificate in a valued computing qualification.
English ClassesHammersmith & Fulham Adult Learning run Skills for Life English classes and a new lower level ESOL class for parents and carers. Enrolment takes place in September and January.
Employment Support1-1 monthly work club provided by the Masbro Centre. You can also get free computer access and employment support by joining our Adult IT Classes.
Volunteering OpportunitiesCommunity and Maternity Champions are volunteer-led services and are regularly recruit new local residents to join up. Join us today!

Zumba ClassesDance exercises for 16+ organised by Community Champions. This popular class is fantastic for getting fit and having fun! Tuesday class is women only.

More EventsWe also host a variety of events such as Saturday Film Clubs, the Queen’s Tea Party (in partnership with Old Oak Primary School) and various Community Champions Health Events.
Family Mosaic acquired the Old Oak Housing estate and Community Centre following a local authority stock transfer with the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham in 1999. As part of the stock transfer agreement, Old Oak Housing Association was created to manage both the housing estate and the community centre.
In 2007, Old Oak Housing Association achieved Children’s Centre status and qualified for a capital grant from Hammersmith and Fulham. With match funding provided by Old Oak and Family Mosaic, the Centre was refurbished in 2009 to provide a multi-purpose building combining both a Community Centre and Sure Start Children’s Centre.
The Centre is run by the Community and Children’s Centre Manager, Carla Martin, and the Community Development Group made up of parents and other key users, Ward Councillors and other Local Authority members, and our service delivery partners such as local schools. The Centre is governed by Old Oak Housing Association Board of Management.
We provide a wide range of services for all ages and sections of the community in a safe and welcoming environment with modern facilities. Services include Early Years provision and family support, education and back-to-work initiatives, health services, sports and recreational activities. We service the communities of Old Oak, College Park and surrounding areas and offer facility hire to all.
